Personal data is information that can be used to find personal or factual information about you such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Information that does not refer to you specifically is not personal data.
In addition, we would like to point out that data transmission via internet (e.g. e-mail communication) cannot be entirely secure and may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of personal information against unauthorised access by third-parties is not possible.
How personal information is collected, processed and used
We use your personal data solely to provide you with comprehensive material and personalised services through the website or to meet your contact requirements as well as to perform anonymous analytics for statistical surveys.
The use of the FVV website is usually possible without disclosing personal information. However, whenever you register for a personalised service (e.g. subscribing to the newsletter), we ask you to submit the contact information needed to provide such service, ie your name, e-mail address and telephone number, as well as a company name and postal address. This information is always provided on a voluntary basis. However, without this data we may not be able to provide the service ordered or to answer your request.
We do not evaluate the information collected directly from a user. The statistical analysis of anonymised data records, however, remains reserved. It is stored to improve the website or for statistical purposes. In such cases, general information is recorded, e.g. when which page was visited, or which page was visited most frequently. This data does not allow conclusions about the user.
Disclosure of personal information to third parties
We will not disclose any personal information to third parties. However, under certain circumstances we may be obliged to pass on your personal data to law enforcement authorities. This is the case, for example, if there is a suspicion of a criminal offense or misuse of the FVV website.
We offer you the possibility to contact us by e-mail. If you send enquiries to us via the contact form, your data is stored for the purpose of dealing with your request and in case of additional enquiries. Such data will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent. The personal information that you provide will not be matched or combined with information that we obtain from other components of the FVV website.
If you would like to receive the FVV electronic newsletter provided by the FVV website, we require your e-mail address as well as information which allow us to check that you are the owner of the provided e-mail address and that you agree to the reception of the newsletter. We use such data exclusively for the purpose of sending the requested information and do not disclose them to third parties.
If you no longer want to receive the requested information, you can unsubscribe at any time. In order to do this, just click the unsubscribe link which is included in each issue of our newsletters. Following you will no longer receive any further issues from us.
When you visit and use the FVV website, our web server stores certain log information on this process in a file. Log files may contain the following information: Your Internet Protocol (»IP«) address; date and time of use; the requested web page or file name; transfer status; volume of data transmitted; website from which the user accessed the requested site (so-called »referrer«); browser type and version and operating system used (so-called »user agent«). We evaluate these data records only for statistical purposes, to improve the website, for system security reasons (eg to prevent fraud) and for fault diagnosis. Personal information stored in a log file is deleted after 7 days at the latest.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (»Google«). Google Analytics uses »cookies«, which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Please note that on this website, Google Analytics code is supplemented by »anonymizeIp« to ensure an anonymised collection of IP addresses (so called IP-masking), i.e. Google will truncate/anonymise the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. On behalf of the website provider Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
As an alternative to the browser plug-in and on mobile devices you can refuse the use of Google Analytics by clicking on the link below. An opt-out cookie will be set on the computer, which prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website: Disable Google Analytics.
As long as you want to maintain your objection, you should not delete the opt-out cookie. If you subsequently delete this cookie, you must disable Google Analytics again.
This website uses Google Maps on some subpages to display interactive maps and to create travel directions. Google Maps is a map service offered by Google Inc. (»Google«). By using Google Maps, information about the use of this website – including your IP address and the (start) address entered into the route planner – may be transmitted to Google in the USA.
When you visit a webpage that contains Google Maps, your browser connects directly to the Google servers. Google transmits the content of the map directly to your browser, which integrates it into the website. Therefore, we have no influence on the data volume collected by Google in this way.
