Research
Industrial collective research always happens ahead of the competition. This allows fundamental questions to be researched collectively, on the basis of which the ever higher demands on materials, fuel efficiency, environmental compatibility and climate neutrality can be mastered. As such, the joint research coordinated by the FVV also helps to improve the competitive ability of our member companies. The fact that collective research is possible at all is first and foremost thanks to the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), which played a decisive role in the founding of the FVV in 1956 with its programme to promote the innovative strength of small and medium-sized enterprises - a programme that continues to run to this day. The FVV is now a strong partner of the IGF and the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF).
